Abstract:

This dataset shows the runway of Pohnpei International Airport. It was created by Island Research & Education Initiative (iREi) (2017), based on 2016 WorldView-3 satellite imagery by Digital Globe.

Purpose: To show the runway of Pohnpei International Airport.

Supplemental_Information:

The dataset is included the Digital Atlas of Micronesia, module Pohnpei, by Island Research & Education Initiative (iREi), in collaboration with Water and Environmental Research Institute of the Western Pacific (WERI) University of Guam and partial funding from United States Geological Survey (USGS), under WRRI 104-B Program, project # 2016GU302B.

The imagery was provided courtesy of Tony Kimmet (USDA-NRCS-National Geospatial Center of Excellence). He also provided an additional WV-3 satellite imagery for the southwest corner of the island (taken 3/26/2016) where the newest imagery has substantial cloud cover.
